I’m assuming you have back up transportation? It might break your heart and your bank in the end but as long as you have some other way to get around what’s the worst that could happen?

BUY IT. That is a screaming deal at that price. As it sits, it’s worth at least $500 more. At the very least, you can buy it and flip it on Bring A Trailer.

That too. Thing is pretty solid, actually. Doesn’t run, but couldn’t be simpler to fix, and turns over with good compression.

I have other vehicles, and a short and easy commute, which is all I’d likely do with this. So yeah, not much harm to do.

Why aren’t you letting it? Original chrome bumpers, rear louvres, original wheels ON THE RIGHT WAY AROUND, dat graphic.

Yep. After looking at it, I’m definitely not discouraged. The kid just did some work himself, including a new alternator, and now it won’t start. Cranks over well though, so I’ll bet I can push it over to my shop and have it running in short order. It’s had some brake fluid leaks around the master and distribution block on the left inner fender and firewall that’s stripped paint and caused some surface rust, but it’s surprisingly good everywhere else. The paint sucks, but think it’d take a buff pretty well in most places. I’m liking it. Told him I want to think on it tonight, by which I meant “peruse the Moss catalog.” Might be a BGT owner tomorrow...

I think I am letting it. Not a runner per se, but has run recently, cranks over strong, has some new bits, and doesn’t start. Shouldn’t be much for me to sort, and it’s a block from my shop so I can push it over.

Well I know a bunch of old dudes with beards and gout who are #MGB4lyfe. They constantly argue about which one of them is correct about a problem, but I’ve never seen them not fix something, so; if you need help.
